Open daily, year-round, the Land Rover Experience Driving Center at Quail Lodge & Golf Club provides customized off road driving lessons and adventure for all skill levels in California. Guided by your qualified instructor, you'll make steep descents down a two-track trail, climb piles of logs and navigate tight hairpin turns. Lessons and programs range from one hour to multiple days.
A Carmel Valley legend, Quail Lodge is an 850-acre resort surrounded by breathtaking scenery and nestled into the towering Santa Lucia mountain range. In addition to beautifully appointed guest rooms, the resort offers championship golf, tennis and relaxing spa treatments, plus casual fine dining at its famed Edgar's organic farm-to-fork restaurant.
One Hour Experience
Develop your driving skills with expert coaching including navigating steep inclines, descents and side slopes with beautiful views of the Santa Lucia mountains.
Two Hour Experience
Learn essential skills with our expert instructors with the Santa Lucia mountains as your backdrop. Learn several driving techniques while navigating ascents, declines, water crossings, side tilts, and much more!
Half Day Experience
Explore more challenging terrain and refine your driving techniques under the guidance of an expert instructor during your Half Day Experience.

Experience the capabilities of your vehicle with an expert instructor on various terrain, while refining your driving techniques.
Full Day Experience
Tackle longer more varied trails on Full Day expedition. Explore more challenging terrain and refine your driving techniques with an expert instructor. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a remote awe-inspiring location.
Heritage Half Day Experience
Explore, drive off-road, and have photographic memories with the Land Rover family including the iconic Defender 90, Range Rover, and Discovery. Explore the heritage and evolution of Land Rover and stunning views of the Santa Lucia mountains.
Heritage Full Day Experience
Experience the evolution of Land Rover. Drive and explore all the Land Rover families including the iconic Land Rover Defender 90, modern Range Rover and Discovery vehicle on an off-road trail with an expert instructor while navigating obstacles and varying terrain with a beautiful backdrop. Lunch is also included.
Young Off-Roader One Hour Experience
Be the cool parent and teen duo! Learn some of the fundamentals of off-Road driving, create memories, and have fun while spending quality time. No prior experience required.

Throughout the year, we're proud to feature exclusive Owner's Day events at Land Rover Experience California. Unique from typical Experience Center experiences, at these events owners bring and drive their own vehicle, and spend the day with other Land Rover owners.

Excellent Experience. My wife and I had a lot of fun with this activity. We learned a lot, especially my wife. I would recommend to anyone wanting to have fun, but even more so to those that have an interest in off-roading.
